The role sits within a retained team structure that supports a flagship account within this agency. This is a fast paced and dynamic account that covers a range of live, digital, and innovative event solutions in the recruit and attract outreach space for a very prestigious client.

The Account Executive (AE) will report to the Account Manager (AM) and will work closely within the retained Client Services and Project Delivery team, as well as key client stakeholders and external supplier contacts.

They will support the AM with day-to-day client management across the client’s annual event programme as well as being able to help research and identify new requirements that deliver the client’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

  • A professional and reliable approach to core tasks, applying the appropriate level of detail and accountability when it comes to the demands of projects

  • Able to manage the circulation of project information to the client and internal teams in a timely manner, ensuring the content is shared with a high level of attention to detail

  • Effective management and ability to prioritise tasks to manage workload and meet deadlines

  • Create and circulate internal and external client meeting notes

  • Actively engaged across regular communication with client teams, proactively contributing to meetings, weekly calls and day-to-day client comms with a responsible and personable attitude

  • Provide regular updates to AM and wider team as required

  • Work closely with delivery teams when it comes to event booking process and procedures and ensure any budget and change requests are controlled managed effectively with the client and project teams

  • Support the AM with event bookings and negotiation of rates, forward planning needs and input into the annual planning strategy

  • Keep a clear and auditable written record of all key decisions throughout a project’s lifecycle, which complies with ISO 9001 requirements

  • Work closely with the delivery teams across the provision and development of the annual event schedule for the client, generating reports and feedback as needed

  • Purchase event space, goods and services in-line with company procedures

  • Contribute to project reviews and identifying lessons learned and sharing feedback

  • Support including venue research and new venue investigation across the current booking platform for recruitment shows

  • Where requested prepare and meeting documentation and reporting packs

  • Booking team travel and accommodation as required

  • Attendance at key client meetings and events for market research and account development purposes

 

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Strong coordination, planning and organisation skills

  • Strategic and proactive mindset

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel to enable the efficient management of data and information from a variety of sources; PowerPoint for presentation preparation and support

  • Excellent attention to detail enabling a rigorous review of documentation and data,and a willingness to maintain high standards

  • A keen interest in social media

  • Knowledge and experience of virtual and online events

  • Commitment to delivering tasks on time, to budget, to a high-quality standard

  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service

  • Strong organisational, planning and time management skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Understanding of UK geography

Desirable:

  • Two years' experience gained from an event agency or from within a similar or comparable environment

  • Experience of venue-finding and/or event space contracting and communications
